For over 45 years, Kaycan has been providing leadership and excellence to the exterior building products market. It all began in 1974, and, fast-forward 45 years later, we continue to bring innovative and game-changing products and technologies to market. 1974
Kaycan is Founded
Kaycan is founded. As a distributor of aluminum, Kaycan expands throughout the 70s, predominantly selling aluminum and vinyl siding.
1983
Kaycan Expands
Kaycan purchases an aluminum manufacturing facility to coil coat aluminum building products and manufacture aluminum siding, soffit and rainware.
1987
Vinyl Siding
Kaycan begins manufacturing vinyl siding. Throughout the 80s, Kaycan continues to expand its distribution network by opening distribution centers to serve the building products market.
1989
Coil Coating
Kaycan purchases and expands its coil coating operations.
1990
Further Expansion
Kaycan further expands with additional distribution centres in North America, Europe, Eastern Europe and Australia. Two additional coil manufacturing plants are built to support the growing demand in North America.
2004
Vinyl Rainware
Kaycan enters the vinyl rainware market and successfully markets vinyl rain gutters in North America.
2005
Vinyl Operations Expand
Kaycan expands its vinyl operations with the addition of 2 vinyl siding plants.
2008
Engineered Wood Siding
Kaycan begins to manufacture and distribute engineered wood siding and trimboard to the new construction markets.
2014
Windows and Patio Doors
Kaycan expands into the window and patio door manufacturing business.
